All City of Kannapolis offices will be closed on Friday, December 31, 2021, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Garbage and recycling collection will operate on a regular schedule. However, there will be no yard waste collection for Friday’s route this week. Yard waste, limb and loose leaf collection will resume on Monday, January 3, on a normal schedule for the rest of the week. The City of Kannapolis, Temerity Capital Partners, and the Lansing Melbourne Group announced the next development project for downtown Kannapolis during a groundbreaking ceremony today.
