Cannon Ballers Homestand | Atrium Health Ballpark | August 11 – August 16 | Ticketed Event

Head on down to Atrium Health Ballpark this week to cheer on your Kannapolis Cannon Ballers! Games will take place Tuesday, August 11, through Sunday, August 16. The Cannon Ballers will take on the Hickory Crawdads! Fireworks will follow the Friday and Saturday games.

Kannapolis Farmers Market | Corner of Dale Earnhardt Boulevard & Vance Avenue | 4 - 7 p.m., Thursdays, May - September | Free

Stop by from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and explore a variety of fresh, local produce, as well as meat, eggs, baked goods, crafts, and prepared foods. Every Thursday, vendors will hand out a different collectible sticker while supplies last (limit one per visitor). Stop by each week and see if you can collect them all!

Thursdays on Main: Too Much Sylvia | Veterans Park | 6 p.m., Thursday, August 13 | Free

Join us in Veterans Park at 6 p.m., this Thursday, August 13 for Thursdays on Main featuring Too Much Sylvia. The concert is free to the public. Children 18 & under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. No pets or smoking please. Veterans Park is located at 119 N. Main Street. 

With a loyal and growing following of friends and fans—many proudly sporting the band’s signature red sunglasses and singing along to their favorite songs - Too Much Sylvia continues to entertain audiences throughout the Carolinas and into Virginia.

Food/drinks will be available for purchase, or attendees can bring their own food and nonalcoholic drinks. Coolers are allowed with no outside alcohol. Coolers are subject to search. Lawn chairs are permitted.

Run Kannapolis: Cannon Ballers Shooting Star 5K | Atrium Health Ballpark | 8 a.m., Saturday, August 15

Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate in the Cannon Ballers Shooting Star 5K on Saturday, August 15, in Downtown Kannapolis.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. and is part of the popular Run Kannapolis race series, which encourages community fitness and fun.

Get ready for an evening of incredible tricks, big laughs and nonstop entertainment with Stories Under the Stars, featuring Gravity Check.

Gravity Check is a juggling due show featuring magic, entertainment and comedy! You don’t want to miss this amazing show.

Join us at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 15 at the Kannapolis Library. (850 Mountain St.) This free, family-friendly event is open to the community. We hope to see you there!

Catch a Movie at the Gem Theatre | 111 Laureate Way
