The City of Kannapolis Fire Department announces the promotions of several staff members. 

Jeremy Brown has been promoted to Battalion Chief. He was previously serving as a Captain. Chief Brown has served with the City of Kannapolis for almost 24 years. 

Corey Cox has been promoted to Captain. He was previously serving as a Senior Fire Engineer. Captain Cox has served with Kannapolis Fire for eight and a half years. 

Chris Barbee has also been promoted to Captain. He was previously serving as a Senior Firefighter in the department. Captain Barbee has a bachelor’s degree in Fire Administration and has worked for Kannapolis Fire for over 18 years. 

Jake Gaworecki has been promoted to Captain. He was previously serving as a Senior Fire Engineer. Captain Gaworecki has an associate’s degree in Fire Science from Harrisburg Community College and has served with Kannapolis Fire for six years. 

Noah Goodman has been promoted to Engineer. He was previously serving as a Firefighter. Engineer Goodman has over six years of experience as a firefighter. Hayden Radford has also been promoted to Engineer. He was previously serving as a firefighter. Engineer Radford has served with Kannapolis Fire for eight years.
