The City of Kannapolis has a diverse group of facilities available to rent for conferences, training sessions, workshops, and celebrations. The facilities will appeal to you based on your individual needs and preferences. Spaces range from new and modern to historical and traditional.

Conveniently located in North Carolina, within the Charlotte Metropolitan Area, and along the I-85 corridor, you can travel to Kannapolis via plane, train, bus, or car. Airports in the area include Charlotte-Douglas International, Concord Regional, and Rowan County. Amtrak arrives daily in the downtown core near many of the facilities.

There are numerous area hotel and restaurant options available for your event attendees. There is no shortage of activities for everyone of all ages to enjoy. This could include the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Concord Mills Mall, the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers Minor League Baseball team, and many more County attractions.

The City of Kannapolis has a verity of facilites to offer both inside and ourside from formal and elegant to fun and relaxed. Some of the facilites are the Laureate Center, Train Station, Village Park, Swanee Theatre, Dale Earnhardt Tribute Park, and the Veterans Park Gazebo.

Laureate Center

The Laureate Center is located in the Kannapolis City Hall & Police Headquarters at 401 Laureate Way. The Laureate Center is the perfect location for you to host events, seminars, professional development classes, and conferences. The center also has a lovely gallery where receptions or other pre-meeting events can be held in conjunction with your rental in the Laureate Center. Two beautifully landscaped terrace areas are perfect for social gatherings.

Swanee Theatre 

The Swanee Theatre is typically used as a live music or performance venue. The entire facility and its smaller meeting rooms is available for rentals. It is located in the heart of downtown on West Avenue and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, Atrium Health Ballpark, and the Kannapolis Amtrack Train Station. The marquee is available for special occasion messaging.

Capacity: 160 banquet, 331 theater-style

Train Station 

This is a working Amtrak Train Station. The multi-purpose room is perfect for holding board meetings, receptions, seminars, or workshops.

Village Park Building

The Village Park Multi-Purpose Room along with the outdoor patio is a popular rental for parties, meetings, showers, and weddings. All of the park’s amenities such as the Rotary Express, splash pad, carousel, playground, and greenway are available seasonally. Many people choose to use the space for their wedding festivities.
