Cabarrus County real estate and personal property tax bills will mail to residents on July 26. Property tax bills are due on September 1 and are classified as past due if not paid before January 7, 2020. They have completed their basic law enforcement training and will now be assigned patrol units to complete their field training. The Kannapolis City Council has approved the FY 2020 budget. The FY 2020 budget is $75,513,726 which includes all seven operating funds of the City. The budget includes no property tax increase. The current tax rate will remain at .63 cents per $100 valuation - a home valued at $150,000 will pay $945 annually in property taxes for all City services.
