The City of Kannapolis invites everyone, especially neighborhood associations, community groups and homeowner associations, to join the Kannapolis Police Department, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, at the Swanee Theatre, 200 West Avenue, to celebrate National Night Out. Our police and fire department staff, as well as other community partners, look forward to meeting and interacting with you.
We will celebrate with free food, adult Bingo, children's games, and much more. The Kannapolis Police Department will collect donations of school supplies that evening for Kannapolis students in grades K-12. (No school supplies will be distributed at National Night Out instead the supplies will be distributed to the schools during the Fall semester).
Non-profit organizations will also be on hand if you would like information on community services or if you would like to learn more about volunteering with an organization. If you are a non-profit organization wishing to participate in National Night Out, please fill out the vendor information form: https://forms.gle/vsNeDrKBKymD3dw38
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. The goal of National Night Out is to have police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safe and caring places to live.
