The non-profit, 1CAN, has installed a Blessing Box at Fire Station 1, located at 300 Firehouse Drive. The Blessing Box is stocked with food and personal hygiene items. Since 2013, Kannapolis police officers have partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” Christmas program. The City of Kannapolis is accepting upset bids for property on Oak Avenue. The city-owned property includes 230, 234, 242, 246 and 250 Oak Avenue. The properties currently have two tenants, including Pizza Hut, and is suitable for office and commercial space.
