After 24 years with the Kannapolis Police Department, Det. Timothy Roth has retired. “Tim had all the great qualities it took to be a great police officer,” said Chief Woody Chavis. “He is compassionate, loyal, dedicated, determined, hardworking, and he has a heart of gold. The Kannapolis Fire Department will once again host a Fire Truck Parade as part of their Fire Safety Festival, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday, September 29. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. The route will be along Laureate Way and N. Research Campus Drive, between City Hall and the North Carolina Research Campus.
