Kansas City Barbecue judges spent Saturday afternoon very carefully judging 75 teams from 5 states who competed in the categories of chicken, ribs, pork and brisket at the Jiggy with the Piggy Festival in Kannapolis. 100 judges from 7 states chose the winners based on taste, appearance and tenderness. During the Jiggy with the Piggy Festival, May 5-6, 2017, hundreds of people participated in the People’s Choice Wing Contest and the People’s Choice Pork Contest. With 368 walkers/runners the Jiggy with the Piggy 5K was a huge success Tuesday evening. We loved seeing all of the participants in the Jiggiest Costume Contest.
