The Kannapolis Fire Department celebrated its 100th Birthday with a fire truck parade, bagpipes, drums, birthday cake and other festivities Saturday. All City of Kannapolis offices will be closed on Monday, September 5, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Garbage and recycling collection service will run on its normal schedule.
