The City of Kannapolis offices will be closed Monday, January 15th in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Offices will reopen on January 16. There will be no delay in the collection of garbage and recycling but yard debris collection will be delayed one day.

Update 3:30 p.m., January 4: The water main has been repaired.   Crews are working to repair a water main break near Rose Avenue. Homes near the break may not have water. A.L. Work is underway on the Kannapolis Streetscape and Infrastructure Project. Construction crews will be installing duct banks to allow power lines to go underground as a part of this downtown revitalization work.
