Last weekend, the executive board of the Kannapolis Youth Council attended the State Youth Council Team-Building & Leadership Conference hosted by the City of Concord Youth Council. Students from around the state came together to make new friends, share ideas, and have a lot of fun! From touring the Concord-Padgett Regional Airport to the top of Zmax Dragway, it was a memorable weekend.
Applications for the Kannapolis Youth Council are now open for the 2024-2025 school year. Students who will be in grades 9-12 this August and who live within the Kannapolis City limits are eligible to apply. Applications are due March 11. The Council provides opportunities for students to learn leadership skills, volunteer, practice teamwork, and have a direct line of communication with City leaders.
