We continue to request that you do not travel this morning. Enjoy an extra cup of coffee/hot chocolate and build a snowman.
Streets are still very dangerous. Our police and fire departments have responded to several incidents where people have become stranded after getting out and then they have not been able to drive on the ice and snow. Fortunately, no one has been injured.
City street crews have worked thru the night to salt major thoroughfares but the low temps have hampered their efforts.
Once the temps rise and conditions improve later today please be careful and watch for icy areas if you must travel.
If you see emergency vehicles responding to incidents please move over and slow down.
Garbage/ recycling will not be collected today. It will be on a one day delay.
City offices, Rider Transit and all parks and greenways are closed.
