The Grinch (COVID) has impacted our usual holiday events but we are working to ensure we are able to celebrate the holidays in a safe and healthy manner. Below are just a few of the steps we have taken to keep everyone safe:
- Eliminated a mass gathering by offering a Virtual Tree Lighting.
- Social Distancing and Masks are required by all guests and staff while at Village Park.
- The Carousel and Model Train Display will be closed due to COVID restrictions.
- The concession stand will only be selling the basics, mostly pre-packaed items. No hotdogs or other food generally cooked and wrapped onsite.
- The chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows will all be individually packaged for S'mores.
- There is a limit of 6 people (1 person per section of fence) at the S'mores pit at one time.
- Disposable skewers will be used at the s'mores pit for single use.
- Santa will be wearing a mask and available to visit with kids as usual, however photos will be taken while being socially distanced.
- Train is by reservation only to cut capacity down due to mass gatherings limits.
- Only 9 rows will be utilized on each train ride, therefore families will be socially distanced.
- The train will run every 15 minutes. This allows staff time to appropriately sanitize the train between rides.
- There will be a designated Park employee each night to clean high touch surfaces throughout the night, including door knobs, buttons, counters, light switches, etc.
- Hand santizing dispensers are located throughout the event.
