The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational programs and events throughout the year, including trips and athletic leagues.

Registration for Programs

ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE

NOTE: Most programs require a completed program registration form.  While many are free, some do have a participation fee. You may register in person, by phone or by mail.To register by mail, send your completed program form and any payment required to: Kannapolis Parks and Recreation, 401 Laureate Way, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Please make checks payable to “City of Kannapolis.” 

Many of programs are currently available for on-line registration. If you would like to register on-line for a program, click on the link in the program description and you will be re-directed to a new page for registration. If no link is present, then on-line registration is not available.  Please call our office to register by phone or for more information.

Crafting in the Park 

Superhero Breakfast

July 25, 9-11am

Join us for an exciting Superhero Breakfast! Meet your favorite heroes, snap photos at themed photo stations, enjoy face-painting and fun crafts and start your day with a delicious continental-style breakfast. Come dressed as your favorite hero and receive a prize. Ages 2 and up require a ticket. $10 per person.  Register Here.

Color Me Floral-A Summer Flower Class

Bring the color of summer to life in this hands on floral workshop featuring vibrant locally grown blooms like zinnias, celosia and sunflowers. Guests will create a cheerful garden style arrangement while learning simple design techniques in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting. Come gather, and celebrate the beauty of the season through flowers and connection.

Class Includes:

-All necessary materials to craft a gorgeous seasonal arrangement.

-Hands on instructions and personalized guidance from a professional floral designer.

-A take-home arrangement that you create during the workshop.

-Light refreshments to keep the energy blooming.

Cost is $42 per person and includes all supplies. Class will be held on Wednesday, July 22, at the Village Park Program Room, 700 West C Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081 from 6-7:30pm.
