Join the City of Kannapolis Parks and Recreation Department for an evening of dinner, mystery and murder at the interactive Mystery Theater performance, Death is a Cabernet, Ol' Chum, on November 6 at Kannapolis City Hall, in the Laureate Center (401 Laureate Way).

The mystery begins at Melee Vineyards in Nippy Valley, where guests have gathered for an evening of wine and cheese to celebrate the winery's 10th anniversary. Owner Malcolm Melee is proud to pour his world-famous Melee Cabernet, but the celebration takes a deadly turn when he is found dead at the bottom of his wine cellar.

Throughout the evening, guests will follow the clues and help the detective and Charlotte Murder Mystery Company determine who is responsible. This interactive performance gives audience members the opportunity to become part of the investigation and help solve the mystery.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner buffet beginning at 6 p.m. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Dinner will include garden salad, holiday chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread rolls, brownies and a choice of sweet tea or water.

Tickets are $30 per person. The performance is rated PG-13 and is recommended for adults and mature teens.
