Enjoy the Gem Theatre’s Summer Movie Matinees this week! Join us at the Gem Theatre, Tuesday, July 21 for a showing of Open Season (PG) and Thursday, July 23 for a showing of Planet 51 (PG). Tickets are $2 per person and show times are 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The Gem Theatre is located at 111 Laureate Way.

Summer Floral Arrangement Workshop | 6 – 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 22 | $42 Per Person
Join the City of Kannapolis for a hands-on Summer Floral Workshop from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, in the Village Park Program Room. This beginner-friendly class will guide participants through creating a vibrant seasonal arrangement using locally grown flowers. The $42 registration fee includes all supplies, professional instruction, light refreshments, and a completed floral arrangement to take home.

Catch a Movie at the Gem Theatre | 111 Laureate Way
Stop by and see a film at the historic Gem Theatre. Beginning July 17, and continuing through July 29, the Gem will show Moana (PG). July 30 through August 19, the Gem Theatre will be showing Spider-Man: Brand New Day (PG-13). Tickets can be purchased online at, www.gem-theatre.com/Tickets or at the theatre.

Register Your Child for Youth Flag Football | Now through July 27
There’s still time to sign your child up for Youth Flag Football with Kannapolis Parks and Recreation! Registration is open through July 27 for children ages 5–15. The registration fee is $50 for Kannapolis residents and $75 for non-residents, which includes uniforms, practices, and games. Scholarships and sponsorship opportunities are available.
