All City of Kannapolis offices will be closed for business on Monday, May 25, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26. There will be no disruption in garbage and recycling collection service, however, there will be no yard debris collection on Monday.
All Kannapolis parks will be open for regular operating hours from dawn until dusk. The train, carousel and splash pad at Village Park, 700 W. C Street, will be open this weekend. Tickets are $1.50 for each attraction.

Memorial Day Event Planned
Join us at 12 noon, Monday, May 25 for a Memorial Day Event at Kannapolis City Hall, 401 Laureate Way, Kannapolis. There will be a keynote speaker, and the ceremony will also include special music performances.
Due the expected inclement weather the event will be held inside.
The event is hosted by the Beaver-Pittman American Legion Post 115, the Poston-Perkins Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8989, the American Legion Auxiliary and the City of Kannapolis. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
