Families are invited to take part in a cultural experience – “Pueblos: Reclaiming Cultural Heritage Through the Arts”. This is free community workshop designed to bring generations together through storytelling, music, and creative expression.
The event will be held between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, at the Afton Branch Library, 6095 Glen Afton Blvd in Kannapolis. This event is open to all ages. The workshop encourages parents and children to reconnect with oral traditions including childhood songs, folktales, poetry, riddles, and stories and explore how these traditions shape identity and community.
Through engaging, hands-on activities, participants will experience how the arts can bring cultural heritage to life while strengthening intergenerational bonds.
