The Kannapolis Fire Department will host an open house event at Kannapolis Fire Station 3 on October 11. The event will take place from 10 a.m. – noon on Saturday, October 11, at Fire Station 3 (1703 Concord Lake Rd, Kannapolis). The public is invited to drop in anytime during the event. Children are welcome.

The original Fire Station #3 on Florida Avenue was built over 50 years old ago in 1967 and only had 3,200 square feet with two bays. In 2022, a newly constructed larger station opened on Concord Lake Rd, which was a more centralized location for firefighters to respond to emergencies in this area of the City. The new station has 11,000 square feet, two larger bays, eight bedrooms and four bathrooms.

During the open house, the public is invited to tour the station, meet firefighters, and see the fire trucks. Firefighters will also be giving out safety information and tips.
