Join us at the Gem Theatre, Tuesday, July 29 for a showing of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3 and Thursday, July 31 for a showing of the film, Tom & Jerry the Movie. Tickets are $2 per person and show times are 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on both Tuesday and Thursday. The Gem Theatre is located at 111 Laureate Way.

Join us for our final Movies in Village Park of the summer this Friday, August 1, for a showing of Inside Out 2.
Movies in the Park are free and fun for the entire family. Village Park is located at 700 W. C Street, Kannapolis, bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a great line-up of family-friendly movies!
Children 18 & under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. You are welcome to bring your lawn chairs. No pets or smoking please. Food and drinks will be on sale in Village Park during the events.
Concert in the Park: Big & Rich | Village Park | 7 p.m., Saturday, August 2
The last Concert in the Park of the summer is this Saturday, August 2 featuring Big & Rich! The concert will take place at Village Park at 7 p.m. The opener will be Ryan Perry.
Big & Rich are America’s technicolor, Cowboys brother-in-arms in service to the creed that great music has no boundaries. Big Kenny and John Rich are first-rate musicians, songwriters, producers, and entertainers. Together, they are one of the most truly original musical forces ever unleashed on a welcoming world. Their hits, Save a Horse (Ride A Cowboy), Run Away with You, and California are crowd pleasers.
The concert is free to the public. Children 18 & under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. You are welcome to bring your lawn chairs. No pets or smoking please. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Coolers with non-alcoholic drinks are permitted and subject to search.
A free shuttle is available. Please take time to review the updated parking map and shuttle stops at www.kannapolisnc.gov/parking. The shuttle service will run from 5-11 p.m. Shuttle stops are at the Cabarrus Health Alliance, the Nova Credit Union Overflow lot, City Hall, the NCRC Parking Deck and Village Park.
Stories Under the Stars: Shepherd Shakespeare | Afton Library | 7 p.m., Saturday, August 2
This week is also the final Stories Under the Stars event. It will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 2. Join us for great fun with Shepherd Shakespeare. Shepherd Shakespeare makes Shakespeare fun with family friendly performances his famous works.
This event is fun for kids and adults of all ages. This is a free event that will take place at the Afton Library - Kannapolis, 6095 Glen Afton Boulevard.
Cannon Ballers Homestand | Atrium Health Ballpark | July 29 – August 3
Head on down to Atrium Health Ballpark to cheer on your Kannapolis Cannon Ballers! Games will take place Tuesday, July 29 through Sunday, August 3. The Cannon Ballers will take on the Delmarva Shorebirds! Fireworks will follow the Friday and Saturday games.
