The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational programs and events throughout the year, including trips and athletic leagues.

Registration for Programs

ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE

NOTE: Most programs require a completed program registration form.  While many are free, some do have a participation fee. You may register in person, by phone or by mail.To register by mail, send your completed program form and any payment required to: Kannapolis Parks and Recreation, 401 Laureate Way, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Please make checks payable to “City of Kannapolis.” 

Many of programs are currently available for on-line registration. If you would like to register on-line for a program, click on the link in the program description and you will be re-directed to a new page for registration. If no link is present, then on-line registration is not available.  Please call our office to register by phone or for more information.

Champions in Motion Youth Cheerleading

Ages 4-6: 6-6:45pm
Ages 7-9: 6:45-7:30pm
Ages 10-18: 7:30-8:15pm

Daddy Daughter Dance-Love You to the Moon and Back 

February 7, 2026

Get ready for a magical night that's truly out of this world! Join us on Saturday, February 7th at the Laureate Center for an unforgettable evening celebrating the special bond between fathers and daughters. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served but we encourage you to take your date to dinner prior to the event.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Tickets: $50.00 per couple; $20.00 each additional girl.

This program is designed for girls ages 5 & up to be accompanied by her dad, step-dad, grandpa, big brother, uncle or other special guy.

Dressy (suit/slacks/jacket/tie) to casual (khaki's/polo) attire. Enjoy and be comfortable yet classy and you will have a fabulous time!

In this hands-on floral workshop, you and your closest friends will design a refined seasonal arrangement using premium blooms. Enjoy a relaxed, inspiring atmosphere as you learn simple techniques that elevate your floral artistry, the perfect way to celebrate friendship, beauty and a little mid-February magic. Cost is $47.  Registration Required.
