Public Works, Fire and Police have responded to many calls of downed trees and power lines since yesterday afternoon. They have worked overnight to assist Duke Energy and Landis Power and others to get streets cleared.
As you venture out today please be careful. If you see a street barricaded please do not drive around the barricades. Be on the alert for trees that may have recently fallen as the ground is saturated. Avoid any downed power lines.
Garbage and recycling routes are operating on a normal schedule.
Safrit Park is closed until further notice due to damage from Tropical Storm Michael.
