The Kannapolis Youth Council recently had the opportunity to give back to their community by helping other teens. Youth Council students, ranging from 9th-12th grade, collected toiletries for teens who live in a local orphanage. Items collected included toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, laundry detergent, deodorant, and toilet paper.

Kannapolis Youth Council Gives Back

The Council’s goal is to create opportunities for students to become engaged in leadership within their community by providing avenues for high school students to volunteer, develop high standards for behavior, refine their communication abilities and practice teamwork. The Youth Council serves as a direct line of communication between City leaders and Kannapolis students.
