Kannapolis Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Matthew Hoehman has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant assigned to Patrol Squad B.
Hoehman began his career with Kannapolis Police Department as a Patrol Officer in 2014. His most recent assignment was in the Traffic Enforcement Division. He was designated as Police Officer I in 2017 and Police Officer II in 2020. He also serves as a Field Training Officer for the department.
Hoehman received a Police Commendation in 2018. He holds an Intermediate Law Enforcement Certificate from the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and has completed 1,451 hours of professional training. He is a graduate of Rockwell Christian School and Liberty University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
He is married to Shari and the son of John and Tammy Hoehman of Granite Quarry.
