All City of Kannapolis offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. There will be no disruption in garbage and recycling collection service; however, there will be no collection of yard debris. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m., Friday, July 5.
All Kannapolis parks will be open regular operating hours from dawn until dusk on July 4. In Village Park, the Rotary Express and Splash Pad will be open regular hours, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Kannapolis Farmers Market is open Thursdays 4-7pm from May through September. It will be open the 4th of July. The market is located at the corner of Vance Ave and Dale Earnhardt Blvd, in the Oak Avenue Mall parking lot behind the Pizza Hut.
