The Kannapolis City Council approved incentives for Linder Industrial Machinery on Monday night. Linder Industrial Machinery will locate a regional headquarters on property they have purchased at 5733 and 5625 Davidson Highway. The company sells earth moving and paving equipment.

The incentives will total $37,500. In exchange, Linder will build a 39,000 square foot facility with a total investment of $7.6 million, over the next five years. The firm will relocate and hire a total of 105 employees over the next five years with average annual salaries of $73,246. Annual property taxes the firm will pay to the City will be approximately $47,880.

In addition to serving as their regional headquarters the Linder will use the site for retail sales, service and training facility. The firm anticipates hosting training sessions 34 weeks out of the year which will bring business to area hotels and restaurants. The company has additional retail and sales locations in Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.
