The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational programs and events throughout the year, including trips and athletic leagues.

Registration for Programs

ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE

NOTE: Most programs require a completed program registration form.  While many are free, some do have a participation fee. You may register in person, by phone or by mail.To register by mail, send your completed program form and any payment required to: Kannapolis Parks and Recreation, 401 Laureate Way, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Please make checks payable to “City of Kannapolis.” 

Many of programs are currently available for on-line registration. If you would like to register on-line for a program, click on the link in the program description and you will be re-directed to a new page for registration. If no link is present, then on-line registration is not available.  Please call our office to register by phone or for more information.

Gobble, Gobble, Death & Trouble - He was world renowned for his gourmet turkey dinners. Chef and Restaurant owner Ramsey Gordon was known to be a tyrant of a boss and an ill-mannered business associate. His recipe for turkey had remained a secret for years. Last night, Gordon's restaurant was to have been jam-packed with hungry customers, yet, it was not to be. The famished fowl feasters were unexpectedly told the sad news that Gordon was dead, the victim of an unfortunate accident. You will become one of the investigators and work with the Detective and Charlotte Murder Mystery Company to figure out "WHODUNIT!"

Nature's Charm: Dried Flower Wreath Workshop

November 20, 2025. 6-7:30pm, reservations required.

Join us for a fun and beginner-friendly wreath-making workshop! Using a natural grapevine base and a variety of beautiful dried flowers, you'll create your very own one-of-a-kind wreath. This hands-on, make-one-take-one class is perfect for anyone wanting to add a touch of nature-inspired charm to their home. No experience needed; just bring your creativity and we'll provide the rest!  Cost is $61 per person.  Register here.
