Primary roads in the City are thawing nicely today and secondary roads are improving.

However, we do expect roads will refreeze overnight due to the single digit temperatures we are expecting. Roads are expected to be icy in the morning. Travel could be very hazardous tomorrow morning. Please continue to be careful and safe if traveling. 

City Updates:

• Garbage and recycling is on a one day delay this week. Collection may be delayed as staff navigates streets that have ice. Please leave your carts at the curb until they are collected. 
• Tonight’s City Council Meeting is Cancelled. Agenda items will be heard at the Council’s next meeting on February 9.
• City Parks and Greenways will remain closed tomorrow.
• There will be no City athletics tomorrow. 
• The Gem & Swanee Theatres will be closed tomorrow.
• City Hall & Facilities will open for regular business hours tomorrow.
• Rider Transit will resume regular service at 11:30 am tomorrow, January 27th.
