Each year during the Jiggy with the Piggy Festival, the teams participating in the Kansas City Barbeque Society competition also compete in a dessert contest. Desserts were judged in two categories: appearance and taste. Over hundred community leaders and sponsors of the festival voted during the blind tasting/appearance competition Friday night.
Taking top honors in the Appearance Category was Bad Rooster BBQ of Lavonia, Georgia and finishing first in the Taste Category was Smokin Studs of Mooresville, N.C.
