The City of Kannapolis will celebrate 10 years of Jiggy with the Piggy with a special free concert by Country Music Superstar Craig Morgan. Named one of the East Coast’s Top Events, Jiggy returns May 3-5, 2024, to Downtown Kannapolis.

A multi-faceted entertainer, Craig Morgan has made a name for himself as a country music icon, TV personality, author, celebrated outdoorsman and patriotic Army veteran. One of country music’s best-loved artists, Morgan has amassed more than1.5 billion career streams and charted over 25 songs on Billboard, thrilling massive crowds with signature hits including “Bonfire,” “Almost Home,”“Redneck Yacht Club,” “International Harvester,” “This Ole Boy,” “Soldier,” “That's What I Love About Sunday” and his faith-filled tribute to his son Jerry, “The Father, My Son and The Holy Ghost.”

In 2023 Craig released his highly anticipated EP Enlisted, a six-song collection of reimagined hits and brand-new songs featuring collaborations with Trace Adkins, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Gary LeVox, Blake Shelton, and Lainey Wilson. Craig received one of country music's highest honors when he was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. A crowd favorite, he regularly performs at the Grand Ole Opry.

Prior to becoming a country music star and TV sensation, Morgan served seventeen years in the Army and in 2023 he reenlisted in the Army Reserve, continuing his military career. Morgan remains an avid supporter of America's military personnel and has made more than sixteen overseas trips to perform for our troops. He is a member of the U.S. Field Artillery Hall of Fame and recipient of the USO Merit Award. In 2018 he was awarded the Army’s Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, one of the highest awards the Department of the Army can bestow upon a civilian, in recognition of his significant dedication to our military men and women around the world. He remains committed to supporting active duty and veteran members of our military through work with Operation Finally Home, and the USO.

Jiggy is one of the largest sanctioned events by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and once again we will host over 50 barbeque competition teams who compete for top bragging rights and prize money.

The festival, which has been named a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society, will have more than 100 arts & crafts vendors, concerts, a 5K walk/run, fireworks and a People’s Choice pork tasting competition and an exciting kid’s zone.

The Kannapolis Public Safety Assistance Foundation is back with their amazing BBQ. We have also added more barbeque and food vendors so you can fill up on many varieties of festival food.

Thursday, May 2

8 a.m. - 5 p.m. - BBQ Competition Teams Arrive

4-7 p.m. Kannapolis Farmers Market Opens for the Season – corner of Dale Earnhardt Boulevard & Vance Avenue

6:30 p.m. - Jiggy with the Piggy 5K, part of the Run Kannapolis Series (Dress in a piggy related costume to win prizes). The run will be at Vietnam Veterans Park, Orphanage Road.

Friday, May 3

8 a.m. - 5 p.m. - BBQ Competition Teams Arrive


5 p.m. - Festival Opens to the Public - North Carolina Research Campus Horseshoe
Food, Arts & Crafts, Kids Zone, Carnival Rides, Live Chainsaw Carving Demonstrations, and More

7 p.m.  – Country Music Superstar Craig Morgan Performs the Friday Jiggy Concert  - North Carolina Research Campus Horseshoe/Free Admission

Proceeds Benefit the Kannapolis YMCA, the Kannapolis Rotary Club and the Kannapolis Youth Council.

Festival attendees can purchase blocks of ten (10) samples for $10.  Tickets will go on sale at 11:45 a.m. Saturday.
