Congratulations to Miranda Miller-Wojcik and William Pillsbury who have received the N.C. Certified Waterworks Operator of the Year Awards! Miranda won the honor in the C Surface Category and William received the honor in the B Surface Category. Both work at the Kannapolis Water Treatment Plant.
The Certified Operator of the Year Award recognizes water treatment professionals who achieve excellence at their level of certification (A Surface, B Surface, C Surface, A-Well, B-Well, C-Well, D-Well). The candidate must be a Waterworks Operator who has demonstrated outstanding ability, devotion and technical expertise in the operation of a water treatment facility. In order to obtain these awards, the candidates must also be a member in good standing of the NCWOA and engaged in water treatment at least part time or on a regular basis.
The North Carolina Waterworks Operators Association (NCWOA) is the premier trainer of water operator professionals for the state since 1939. They are industry leaders who come together to provide certification schools and continuing education opportunities. These opportunities keep water industry professionals informed about new technology and advances in the water industry. Becoming a member of NCWOA places candidates on the pathway for continual growth and success in the water industry.
