The June 9, 2025 meeting of City Council has been moved from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM to accomodate a Public Hearing for the recommended FY2025 Budget. This change was approved by Council at their May 12, 2025 Meeting.
The Kannapolis City Council meets regularly twice a month on the second and fourth Monday of each month. The first meeting of the month is known as a Work Session meeting, beginning at 4:30 p.m. and is a less formal meeting which allows Council to discuss issues in greater detail. No official action is taken in Work Session meetings.
On the fourth Monday of each month the City Council meets at 6 p.m. and conducts City business. Here residents have an opportunity to speak on issues. City Council Meetings are held in the City Hall Council Chambers, 401 Laureate Way, 6:00 p.m. The public is welcome at both sessions.
