Please let your water run for 10-15 minutes and the discoloration will disappear.  The water is safe to drink.

The Kannapolis Youth Council has opened applications for the 2023-2024 year. High school aged students, who live within the Kannapolis City limits, are eligible to apply to be on the Youth Council.   Applications are due at 5 p.m. on March 31, and students will be notified of their acceptance or denial no later than May 1.   December 24 - 3 p.m. Duke Energy continues to work to restore power which is out due to high winds and fallen trees.  Earlier today 11,000 households in the Kannapolis area were without power.  At this time 2,000 households remain without power.
