Because of the risks to the public that would arise from continued in-person meetings, the City of Kannapolis is converting public meetings to a virtual format for the duration of the North Carolina and Kannapolis State of Emergency.
This meeting format complies with the State of North Carolina, Cabarrus County, Rowan County and the City of Kannapolis State of Emergency Declarations in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Governor Roy Cooper has also issued Executive Orders 117, 118 and 121, which impose restrictions intended to slow the spread of COVID-19, which includes limiting large events and gatherings of more than 10 people.
