The City of Kannapolis has released the 2016-2017 Recycling Calendar.    In addition to the schedule for July 2016-June 2017, the calendar includes information on what items may be recycled. Join us from 7-10 pm on June 30 for a performance by the Charlotte Symphony. This annual event in Village Park is always a wonderful way to celebrate the 4th of July. The event is free and open to the public.  Shuttles, provided by CK Rider, will be available in outlying parking lots, such as the Cabarrus Health Alliance and Southern Select. Everyone loves a parade and everyone loves fire trucks – so you will love our Fire Truck Parade. To celebrate the 100th birthday of the Kannapolis Fire Department we are having a parade at 10 a.m. on October 1. After the parade we will keep celebrating with an Open House at Kannapolis City Hall, 401 Laureate Way. The Kannapolis City Council invites the public to attend an informational meeting on the Downtown Revitalization Master Plan. The public will have three opportunities to hear details of the proposed master plan.
