The City has begun a major infrastructure and streetscape project as part of the downtown revitalization efforts. Update: Water service has been restored.    Some City of Concord and City of Kannapolis water customers in northwestern Cabarrus County are currently without water service while crews repair a water line damaged by private contractors earlier today. Affected Concord customers are located in the Cabarrus Crossing subdivision. It’s Fall which means it’s time for leaves to fall from trees. Beginning October 23 and running until March 9, the City collects loose leaves. At all other times of the year leaves must be bagged.
