All City of Kannapolis offices will be closed on Monday, May 28 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 29 at 8 a.m. There will be no disruption in garbage and recycling collection service, however, there will be no yard debris collection.

All Kannapolis parks will be open for regular operating hours from dawn until dusk. In Village Park, the Carousel and Rotary Express Train will be open Saturday, 10 a.m. -7 p.m.; Sunday and Monday from noon to 6 p.m. At Bakers Creek Park the putt putt course will be open on Saturday from 11 a.m. -6:30 p.m., Sunday from 2-6:30 p.m. and Monday from noon to 6 p.m.

Due to mechanical issues, the Splash Pad will not be open Memorial Day Weekend, May 26-28, 2018.


We hope you will join us for the Memorial Day Parade which begins at 11:30 a.m. on May 28. The parade begins at the intersection of Laureate Way and Main Street and concludes at Veterans Park on Main Street. A ceremony will follow in the park with special guests.
